About Instrumentation 2008

Instrumentation 2008 Expo & Training was held on February 28, 2008, in Los Angeles County, California. "The largest exhibition and training expo dedicated to state of the art instrumentation and process control on the west coast," it featured a dozen technical training sessions and over 75 exhibits presenting the latest state of the art instrumentation and process control equipment and services. The expo and all training was again free to anyone in the refinery, water, wastewater, power generation and process industries who were involved with instrumentation and process control. All of the major I&C suppliers on the west coast exhibited.

Instrumentation 2008 Expo Schedule

Tichakorn 'Nok' Wongpiromsarn (right) and Noel duToit of California Institute of Technology drove the CalTech autonomous SUV, 'Alice,' to the Expo and demonstrated the vehicle to dozens of attendees.  Also displayed was Golem Group's 'Golem 3' vehicle thanks to Richard Mason. Both competed in the Grand Challenge autonomous vehicle race held November 3, 2007, which is sponsored by DARPA (Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency), the central research and development organization for the Department of Defense.
